Accenture Accused in Suit of Favoring South Asian Workers (2)

Accenture PLC is accused in a new proposed class action of job discrimination by hiring and promoting South Asian workers for its U.S. operations at the expense of other workers.

Former employee Matthew Walker says 70% or more of Accenture’s U.S. workforce is South Asian, “primarily from India.” But South Asians make up only 1-2% of the U.S. population and only 12% of the relevant labor market, he alleges in a complaint filed June 7 in a federal court in Connecticut.
