A former Abbott Laboratories employee says in a federal lawsuit that the company pulled her offer for a new sales position after she revealed she was pregnant.
The case is similar to one filed by the federal watchdog Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against medical transcription service provider Scribe-X Northwest in September. The agency has made cracking down on employers for failing to accommodate workers with pregnancy-related physical limitations a top enforcement priority.
