4th Cir. Moves to Revisit Injunction of Trump’s Anti-DEI Orders

A federal appeals court asked challengers to President Donald Trump’s anti-DEI orders how a US Supreme Court decision limiting courts’ use of universal injunctions affects the relief granted so far in their case.

The group of plaintiffs led by the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education won an injunction in February, and the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit is asking the parties to file briefs addressing whether it runs afoul of the Supreme Court’s decision. That injunction is already paused, pending the outcome of the Trump administration’s appeal to the Fourth Circuit.
