$15 Minimum Wage Coming to Connecticut

Connecticut will become the seventh state to raise its minimum wage to $15 per hour.

The state Senate approved a bill (H.5004) May 17 that would raise the wage floor from $10.10 now per hour to $15 in 2023. The Senate’s approval of the measure by a vote of 21-14 at 2:45 a.m. followed a long debate. The bill passed the House May 9, and Gov. Ned Lamont (D) pledged to sign it into law when it reaches his desk.
