Voyager Digital Bankruptcy Results in Legal Fees for Bank

When Metropolitan Commercial Bank announced its plan to stop serving crypto firms in January, its association with one in particular didn’t end there. The bank faced a slew of regulatory queries about its former client, bankrupt digital-asset firm Voyager Digital Ltd.

Now it wants payback for that time.

Metropolitan filed in court Tuesday asking for reimbursement from Voyager of $1.13 million in legal fees the bank incurred as it responded to regulators probing the crypto broker, which filed for protection from creditors last July.
