‘Venezuela Exposure’ ETF Lands With SEC in Rare Industry Gap

With $13.6 trillion in assets and nearly 5,000 products, there’s an exchange-traded fund for almost everything. Soon, there could be one for Venezuelan stocks as well — or at least for companies with enough presence in the country.

The Teucrium Venezuela Exposure ETF would seek to track an index composed of Venezuela-based companies, as well as firms that have more than half of their assets in Venezuela or that derive more than 50% of their revenue from the country, according to a Monday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
