Uganda Parliament Passes Bill to Amend Stamp Duty Act

The Ugandan Parliament May 15 announced the May 14 passage of the Stamp Duty (Amendment) Bill, 2025, to partially amend the Stamp Duty Act. The bill includes measures to introduce a near-duty classification that waives the 15,000 Ugandan shillings (US$4.10) stamp duty on agreements and mortgage deeds.
