Tether Holdings SA is returning to the US and bidding to become the dominant stablecoin issuer in the country, the company’s executives said Tuesday.
Bo Hines, Tether’s strategic advisor for digital assets and United States strategy, said in an interview on Bloomberg Television that Tether’s goal as it reenters the US market is to match its success overseas.
“We want to be the largest player in the US market,” said Hines, who recently left his post as a crypto advisor to the White House. “We already are abroad and we want to match that here.”
