Tether-Backed Rumble to Buy Northern Data at Reduced Price (2)

Conservative video service Rumble Inc. agreed to push ahead with a deal for German data center operator Northern Data AG at a reduced price, after news of a tax probe jeopardized the transaction.

Northern Data owners will receive 2.0281 Rumble Class A shares per share they tender, it said in a statement Monday. That’s equivalent to about $11.95 per share, or €10.32, using Rumble’s Friday closing price. Bloomberg News reported Sunday that the companies, which are both backed by stablecoin issuer Tether Holdings Ltd., were nearing a deal.
