Tennessee DOR Announces Obion County Mineral Severance Tax Rate

The Tennessee Department of Revenue (DOR) published a notice announcing that Obion County will implement a mineral severance tax. This tax will be set at a rate of 20 cents per ton effective Dec. 1. Additionally, the tax rate will increase to 25 cents per ton starting July 1, 2030.
