The Swedish Ministry of Finance Nov. 27 submitted to Parliament (Riksdag) Bill No. 2025/26:66, to temporarily reduce employer contributions and general payroll tax for young employees. The bill includes measures to: 1) introduce a temporary reduction in total employer contributions and general payroll tax on compensation paid to individuals who have reached the age of 18, but not 23, at the start of the year, to the extent of taxable compensation up to 25,000 Swedish kronor (US$2,647) per calendar month; 2) require payment of only the full old-age pension contribution, and half the other employer contributions and general payroll contribution, ...
