State Street’s Head of Custody for Digital Assets to Depart

Swen Werner, who leads global custody efforts for State Street’s digital asset division, is leaving the bank, a spokesperson for the company said on Wednesday.

The London-based head of global custody for the State Street Digital unit said in a LinkedIn post on Tuesday that he was stepping away from the role for personal reasons, but eventually planned to return to the digital-asset custody industry. Werner did not respond to a request for comment.
