Shareholder Seeks $85 Million Deal in Windstream, EarthLink Suit

The lead plaintiff in a securities class action against EarthLink Holdings Corp. and Windstream Holdings Inc. asked a federal court for preliminary approval of an $85 million dollar settlement he’s reached with the companies.

Robert Murray brought a securities class action against EarthLink and Windstream and their board members, alleging violations of federal securities laws, after the two companies merged and Windstream subsequently filed for bankruptcy.
