Senator Brown Seeks Firmer Crypto Disclosure Rules: Crypto in DC

Senate Banking Committee Chair Sherrod Brown urged US regulators to impose tougher disclosure standards for the cryptocurrency companies to protect investors from risks of fraud and scams and hold industry executive accountable.

“We cannot settle for a status quo in which Americans lack the basic, comprehensive transparency they would receive in any other market in which they choose to invest,” Brown said in a letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, SEC Chair Gary Gensler and CFTC Chair Rostin Behnam.
