Schwab Names Firm Veteran Joe Vietri as Head of Cryptocurrency

Charles Schwab Corp. named Joe Vietri to the new position of head of digital assets as the brokerage expands its cryptocurrency capabilities in anticipation of a more-welcoming regulatory environment.

Vietri, who has worked at Schwab for more than 30 years, most recently as head of its US branch network, will spearhead the firm’s strategy in spot trading and researching cryptocurrencies for clients.
