Russia’s Finance Ministry and central bank have agreed in principle on draft legislation, which would allow cross-border payments in cryptocurrencies, TASS reported, citing Deputy Finance Minister
- While Russia aims to focus on settlements in national currencies, payments in cryptocurrencies may be appropriate in certain areas, Moiseev said at a banking forum, according to TASS
- The draft legislation outlines general rules for purchasing cryptocurriences, permitted transactions and procedures for cross-border payments, he said
