Roche Freedman Makes Plea to Stay On as Counsel In Tether Action

Roche Freedman is pleading to remain lead counsel for plaintiffs in a case targeting crypto exchange Bitfinex and affiliate Tether as it deals with the fallout from the disclosure of secret recordings of one of the firm’s founders.

The firm, which specializes in crypto litigation, said Friday in a filing that the recordings showed founding partner Kyle Roche making “demonstrably false” statements about the firm’s relationship with crypto startup Ava Labs.
