Robinhood Launches Wallet to Rival Crypto Super App MetaMask

Robinhood Financial said it is set to launch a crypto wallet that enables users to store NFTs, trade tokens and earn yield from DeFi applications later this year.

The standalone non-custodial wallet is the online retail stock brokerage’s latest venture into the crypto market currently dominated by providers like MetaMask, which said in March it had more than 30 million active users.

Robinhood’s existing users can sign up for the wallet’s mobile app with their brokerage accounts. The new wallet is non-custodial, meaning that users maintain total control of their crypto assets instead of a third-party holding the keys. ...
