NYC Mayor Adams Creates New Digital Assets and Blockchain Office

New York City Mayor Eric Adams, long a friend to the crypto industry, signed an executive order Tuesday to create an Office of Digital Assets and Blockchain to encourage development and growth in the city.

  • Moises Rendon will serve as executive director of the office.
    • He currently serves as policy adviser for digital assets and blockchain in the city’s Office of Technology and Innovation
    • Rendon was previously a policy consultant for the U.S. Department of State and for private-sector clients on financial technology and economic trends
