The Dutch Official Gazette June 24 published Decree No. 2025-15816, establishing flat-rate private vehicle and motorcycle tax on emission-free passenger cars and motorcycles for 2025, due to the expiration of the applicable tax exemption. The decree includes measures: 1) setting the tax rates, effective Jan. 1, of 667 euros (US$774) for emission-free passenger cars and 200 euros (US$232) for zero-emission motorcycles; and 2) setting a July 1 starting date for permit holders to submit declarations invoking the fixed rates.
