Michigan Exempts Motor Fuel from Sales Tax

The Michigan Governor signed a law amending the General Sales Tax Act. The law includes exempting motor fuel from sales tax beginning Jan. 1, 2026. The law took effect on Oct. 7, and is contingent upon enactment of certain bills. [H.B. 4180, enacted 10/07/25]
