LSEG Debuts Digital Settlement Platform in Blockchain Push (1)

The London Stock Exchange Group Plchas launched a blockchain-friendly digital settlement service, as the bourse operator deepens its use of the technology underpinning cryptocurrencies.

The new offering — called Digital Settlement House — will allow separate payment systems to send money to each other instantaneously, whether those systems use blockchain or more traditional technology, LSEG said in a statement on Thursday.

One of the main features of the platform is a deposit service called DiSH Cash, which essentially turns commercial bank money into tokenized cash that can then be transfered 24/7 via blockchain and used by market participants to ...
