JPMorgan’s Blockchain Division Co-Head Mallela Leaves Bank

The global co-head of JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s blockchain division has left after more than a decade at the bank, as it steps up an expansion in digital-asset payments.

Naveen Mallela stepped down from his role as global co-head of Kinexys, the division that develops products and services using crypto’s underlying technology in areas such as payments, according to a LinkedIn post on Wednesday. He was appointed to the role in 2024.

A JPMorgan spokesperson confirmed the departure and said the bank plans to name a replacement soon. Mallela, who’s based in Singapore, declined to comment.
