The IRS has announced the release of a new Whistleblower Alert that identifies high-risk concerns related to the misuse, diversion, or fraudulent use of federal funds by tax-exempt organizations, individuals, and businesses. The alert marks a new compliance initiative designed to spotlight areas of elevated enforcement risk and encourage individuals with direct knowledge of noncompliance to come forward.
