Ex-Coinbase Manager Says He Didn’t Leak Secret Information (1)

A former Coinbase Global Inc. product manager pleaded not guilty in New York to charges that he leaked secret information to help his brother and a friend buy cryptocurrency tokens just before they were listed on the exchange, arguing that what he did was not insider trading and the information wasn’t confidential.

Ishan Wahi and his brother, Nikhil Wahi, entered their pleas Wednesday during an arraignment before US District Judge Loretta Preska in Manhattan. Both are free on bail pending further court proceedings.
