Crypto Regulation Bill Gets an Update From Senate Republicans

Senate Republicans have updated their discussion draft of legislation to govern crypto regulation.

• In a draft dated Friday obtained by Bloomberg from a person familiar, the bill expanded to 182 pages
• The GOP has set a goal to approve the bill in the Banking Committee in September, but has yet to reach a bipartisan agreement needed to pass it on the Senate floor
• The House already passed its market structure bill, the CLARITY Act, with significant bipartisan support
