Crypto Firm Bitnomial Wins Coveted CFTC License to Clear Trades

Crypto firm Bitnomial Inc. received approval from the US derivatives regulator to clear trades, expanding the reach of a company that already can run an exchange and brokerage.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s decision to grant the additional license coincides with a review by the regulator of potential risks posed by exchanges and clearinghouses affiliated with intermediaries, such as brokers.
