BOE’s Bailey Says Crypto Integration is Losing Steam

Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey said the integration of cryptocurrencies into the financial system hasn’t “kept the momentum,” speaking at a Treasury Committee hearing in Parliament Wednesday.

• “My own sense is that it’s not taking off as a sort of core financial service. For instance, using Bitcoin as a payments method is pretty inefficient,” Bailey said.
