BNY Mellon Appoints Caroline Butler as CEO of Digital Assets

Bank of New York Mellon Corp. appointed Caroline Butler chief executive officer of digital assets to lead commercial initiatives in the space globally.

Butler has been with BNY Mellon since 2020 and was most recently CEO of custody services. In that role, she led the development of BNY Mellon’s integrated digital custody and administration platform for both traditional and digital assets, which started in the US for some institutional clients in October, the New York-based company said in a statement Thursday.
