Anchorage Nabs Former Coinbase Custody CEO to Lead Growth (1)

Anchorage Digital, which provides crypto custodian services, has hired a former Coinbase Global Inc. executive to be its first-ever chief operating officer.

Aaron Schnarch, 45, was chief executive officer of Coinbase Custody — the biggest US cryptocurrency exchange’s institutional custody business. At Anchorage, Schnarch will oversee all businesses, including custody, trading, self-custody and sales, the firm announced Monday. He started on April 15.

San Francisco-based Anchorage is preparing to accelerate its growth by rolling out more products and expand into more geographies, the company’s Chief Executive Officer Nathan McCauley said.
