JAB Moves Ahead With Preparations for IPO of Giant Coffee Unit

The billionaire Reimann family’s JAB Holding Co. is moving ahead with preparations for an initial public offering of its sprawling coffee empire, which owns brands from Caribou to Peet’s, people with knowledge of the matter said.

The investment firm has picked BNP Paribas SA and JPMorgan Chase & Co. to advise on the planned listing, according to the people, who asked not to be identified because the information is private.
