FTC Refocuses Investigations of Three Transgender Health Groups

The Federal Trade Commission announced it was withdrawing its investigations into three health professional groups’ communications and policies related to transgender health due to developments in a separate court case.

The FTC withdrew its civil investigative demands into the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Endocrine Society, and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health as of June 17 in light of a “major development” into its investigation into claims related to pediatric gender dysphoria, the agency announced in notices filed Monday.
