Former Cuomo Aide Leaves MacAndrews & Forbes General Counsel Job

Steve M. Cohen, former secretary to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, is starting his own firm after nearly a decade as general counsel at MacAndrews & Forbes Inc, the New York-based holding company owned by billionaire banker Ron Perelman.

“Steve has been a valued member of the Office of Chairman as General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer for eight years. During that time, Steve established a great team and we agreed this is the right time to ‘pass the torch,’” said MacAndrews & Forbes spokesperson Josh Vlasto in an email to Bloomberg Law.
