Boeing’s Board Faces Backlash as Investor Advisers Urge Shakeup

Two top investor advisers have come out against some of Boeing’s longest-serving directors as the 737 Max jetliner crisis continues to put pressure on its board.

Proxy adviser Glass Lewis & Co. is urging Boeing shareholders to oppose the reelection of board chairman Lawrence Kellner, who’s been a director for nine years and until recently led a committee tasked with risk management. He became chair after the planemaker’s former CEO and chair Dennis Muilenburg was forced out following two fatal plane crashes involving the 737 Max.
