New Jersey’s recent expansion of vote-by-mail options in advance of the November election is a “recipe for disaster” and should be overturned by a federal judge, according to a new lawsuit spearheaded by President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign.
Gov. Phil Murphy (D) ordered universal absentee voting in an Aug. 14 executive order, citing the highly contagious nature of Covid-19. Active registered voters will be provided with postage-paid ballots and each county will have at least 10 secure drop-box locations for ballot collection, according to the order.
