Texas Asks Fifth Circuit to Toss Expanded Mail-In Voting Order

An order requiring Texas to allow no-excuse mail-in voting during the coronavirus crisis by expanding what it means to be “disabled” for the purposes of the state’s election code should be overturned, state Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) told the Fifth Circuit Monday.

Texas universally allows voters over the age of 65 to vote by mail, but younger voters must meet at least one of a few narrow criteria, such as being disabled.
