Rutgers Can Enforce Vaccine Mandate While Court Hears Challenge

Rutgers University convinced a federal judge in New Jersey on Monday to reject a bid by Children’s Health Defense Inc. to temporarily strike down the school’s Covid-19 vaccine mandate while a challenge to the policy is being litigated.

Children’s Health Defense and Adriana Pinto sued in August to stop the school from demanding students be vaccinated before they return to campus.

The plaintiffs had sought a temporary restraining order to keep the school from enforcing its policy, which they allege is “illegal and unconstitutional,” but the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey rejected that motion. Judge Zahid ...
