Roche Flu/Covid Test Has Potential for False Positives: FDA

A Roche Molecular Systems test for flu and Covid-19 has the potential for false positive results, according to an alert from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

• The co.’s cobas SARS-CoV-2 & Influenza A/B Nucleic Acid Test for use on the cobas Liat System could produce erroneous results due to sporadic leaking of the assay tubes and abnormal PCR cycling in the reaction tubes
