A group pushing to repeal the state statute under which Gov. Gretchen Whitmer issued Covid-19 orders filed a case in the state’s high court Friday seeking to end a deadlocked state election board.
The Board of State Canvassers—the bipartisan board that nearly failed to assign electoral college votes to Joe Biden after the 2020 presidential election—failed to do its statutorily required job and approve a petition brought by Unlock Michigan, the group said in its complaint.
