L.A. Lakers Cite ‘Airborne Agent’ in Covid Insurance Claim

The Los Angeles Lakers’ claims for insurance coverage from a Chubb Ltd. affiliate for losses from the Covid-19 pandemic should be greenlighted based on a recent ruling about an “invisible airborne agent” causing harm, the team told the Central District of California.

The Lakers’ claims “depict precisely the scenario” that a California appeals court recognized as stating plausible claims for relief, the organization told the U.S. District Court for Central District of California Tuesday.
