Insurer Beats Restaurant Group KC Hopps’ Covid Closure Claims

Restaurant management group KC Hopps Ltd. lost its bid to recoup losses incurred due to Covid-19, as a federal jury cleared the Cincinnati Insurance Co. of liability in a suit seeking business interruption coverage.

A jury sitting in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri Thursday found in favor of the insurer on KC Hopps’ breach of contract claim.
