Immigration detainees at three facilities in Miami who say ICE has been unconstitutionally indifferent to their risks of contracting Covid-19 may pursue their claims as a class, the Southern District of Florida ruled.
The certified class, calculated to be about 1,400 individuals, will be comprised of all civil immigration detainees held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement at Krome, BTC, and Glades “when this action was filed, since this action was filed, or in the future,” Judge Marcia G.
