Health Insurance Claims Could Rise 4% in 2020, Actuaries Project

Health insurance claims may be 4% higher for 2020 than a year ago, according to a report from management consulting firm Oliver Wyman.

Cost savings from care foregone due to the coronavirus so far have exceeded the cost of treating Covid-19 patients, but by early June claims began to increase as the country began reopening, the report, which was made public Friday, said.
