Florida businesses and government agencies will be prohibited from requiring people to show proof of a Covid-19 vaccination under a measure Gov. Ron DeSantis signed Monday.
In the meantime, all local emergency orders related to the pandemic will be suspended under an executive order signed by the Republican governor. Such orders will be permanently invalidated on July 1.
“We are no longer in a state of emergency,” DeSantis said.
Last week, the governor again extended for 60 days Florida’s state of emergency declared for the Covid-19 pandemic.
