Covid-Hit California Workers Can File Injury Claims Through 2022

California’s essential workers can claim that they caught the coronavirus on the job and receive workers’ compensation benefits under a measure before Gov. Gavin Newsom.

The state Senate voted late Monday to allow workers until Jan. 1, 2023, to apply for workplace injury benefits, with the Senate voting to send the measure to the governor after the Assembly approved it.
