Las Vegas’ Circus Circus Hotel & Casino isn’t owed insurance coverage for losses from the Covid pandemic because it failed to show physical damage or loss of its property, the Ninth Circuit ruled.
Despite the casino’s allegation that the virus was present on its premises, it didn’t identify any direct physical damage to property that led to its closure, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled April 15 in an unpublished opinion.
