Greenwood Racing Inc., the operator of a casino, racetrack and other gambling facilities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, is unable to recover losses from its insurer it incurred due to the Covid pandemic, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said.
The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania dismissed the coverage claims against Steadfast Insurance Co. for closure of operations in the Keystone State as “speculative,” but gave Greenwood two weeks to file an amended complaint.
