The state agency that operates the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia May 7 sued the Metropolitan Regional Council of Carpenters in federal court, claiming that it violated the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act by engaging in a “continuous and overarching illegal conspiracy” to force the agency to assign MRCC members convention center work that the union previously abandoned (Pa.
