OSHA’s new guide for companies’ whistle-blower programs advises employers to pay attention to workers’ concerns instead of retaliating against employees raising issues.
The guide lays out best practices for setting up programs aimed at listening to and reviewing workers’ complaints about safety, fraud and other issues.
Also, the guide recommends procedures for considering complaints about retaliation from workers who point out potential problems.
