Intoxicated workers injured on the job are covered by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s injury reporting rule, OSHA said in a rule interpretation released April 18.
At issue was whether a company is required to record an injury even through the hurt worker took a drug test after the mishap that indicated the employee was intoxicated from alcohol.
